President of The Mathews Entrepreneur Group Robbie Mathews discusses teenage single motherhood, boardgames, grandparenting, and more.
Robbie S. Mathews is a successful global entrepreneur, an empowering international speaker, a financial education and transformation coach, author, and an investor. She is the editor and contributing writer for their 2016 self-published book, the second edition of Financially Speaking: The Best Improvement Starts with Self-Improvement-Create Your Own Economic Stimulus Plan, which became the cornerstone that formed her company’s financial education wings.
Robbie is co-founder and President of The Mathews Entrepreneur Group, Inc (TMEG). The company is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois in the United States. It was founded in 2007 by Robbie and her husband Michael Bart Mathews, CEO. They specialize in personal financial literacy education, coaching, accountability, and empowerment strategies using books, workshops, seminars, one-on-one coaching, and online programs.
She has spoken about the importance of financial literacy education publicly in the United States and internationally. “Financial literacy education is not a priority in our school systems. So, it is important that the issue be addressed by all of us and at all levels of society.”
Robbie and Michael provide their clients with the knowledge and strategies to help them manage their personal and small business finances, so they can get out and stay out of debt, spend guilt-free, and live financially free.
Robbie spoke in front of a crowd of over 1,200+ attendees from 20+ countries in Johannesburg, South Africa. During her speech, she shared their global message about the need for personal financial literacy education. In addition, Robbie interviewed Nelson Mandela’s grandson, Ndaba Mandela, on stage regarding how the South African people can change their financial culture.
Robbie is a co-author of a book and a participant in an upcoming PBS Television special both titled “Phenomenal Global Women.” She along with 10 other women from different countries, cultures and nationalities share their life stories, their journeys, and their experiences. Their mission is to inspire, motivate, and empower all women around the world.
Robbie also has 40 years of information technology development and management experience within the retail and financial services industry. During these years, she served as a diversity and inclusion advocate and global mentor. She retired from a Chicago-based Fortune 500 international financial services firm in 2014.
Robbie is committed to giving back both time and money to the community. She has donated for years to the Historically Black Colleges and Universities, the United Way and other charitable organizations. Her investment group has donated over 2.5 million sandwiches to the community.
In addition to winning numerous awards during her tenure in financial services, Robbie won the Inspirational Global Woman Award in London in 2017.
She has been featured on live television, magazines and newspapers internationally and locally. Robbie also graces the cover of Global Woman Magazine based in London.
Robbie and Michael are available to conduct workshops, seminars, speaking engagements, and personalized coaching for individuals, small business, and corporate wellness programs.
